Qwickpage’s mission is to connect African entrepreneurs to allow them build successful businesses through social networking support and collaboration. Introduction

Our registered users (“Members”) share their professional identities, share their company public information, engage with their network, exchange knowledge and professional insights, post and view relevant content both on their network and companies, learn and find business and career opportunities. Content and data on some of our Services is viewable to non-members (“Visitors”).

As a Visitor or Member of our Service, the collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject to this Privacy Policy and updates.

Registration

To create an account you need to provide data including your full name, email address, username and a password.

Account Profile Information

Company Profile Information

We also request startup information such as the brand name, company legal name, a description about the company, date the company was founded, where the company is based or located, the type of business, operating status, company’s progress description, company’s website and social links. We request these data to help users understand your company and what you do.

Posting and Uploading

We collect personal data from you when you provide, post or upload it to our Service. You don’t have to post or upload personal data; though if you don’t, it may limit your ability to grow and engage with your network over our Service.

Our Services allow you to learn, stay in touch and up to date with other members and visitors. To do so, you will “Follow” entrepreneurs (who are a Member of our service) who you choose, and who also wish to “Follow” you. When you Follow other Members, you will be able to search each others’ network in order to exchange professional opportunities.

We will use data about you (such as your profile and data about your company) to help others find your profile, suggest connections for you and others (e.g. Members who follow you or your company) and enable you to invite others to become a Member and connect with you.

It is your choice whether to invite someone to our Services or follow a Member. When you invite someone to connect with you, your invitation will include your name, photo, company data and contact information. We will send invitation reminders to the person you invited.

Stay Informed

Our Service allows you to stay informed about news, events and ideas regarding the startup ecosystem in Africa and the African Entrepreneurship lifestyle, professional topics you care about, and from entrepreneurs you respect. Our Service also allows you to improve your company and learn new ways to fix problems you come across in the journey. We use the data we have about you (e.g., data you provide, data we collect from your engagement with our Service and inferences we make from the data we have about you), to recommend relevant content on our Service. We notify others that you have updated your profile, shared a content, asked or answered a question or made new connections.

Productivity

Our Service allows you to collaborate with entrepreneurs and find entrepreneurs and companies. Our Services allow you to communicate, learn and solve problems for other Members.

We will contact you through email, notices posted on our website or push notifications. We will send you messages about the availability of our Service, security, or other service-related issues. We also send messages about how to use the Services, network updates, reminders, connection suggestions and promotional messages from us. We use data and content about Members for invitations and communications promoting membership and network growth, engagement and our Service.

We use data, including public feedback, to conduct research and development for the further development of our Service in order to provide you and others with a better, more intuitive and personalized experience, drive membership growth and engagement on our Services, and help connect African Entrepreneurs to each other and to business opportunities.

We seek to create opportunities for Members of the global workforce and their businesses and to help them be more productive and successful. We use the personal data available to us to research social, economic and business trends such as factors and policies that help bridge the gap in various African businesses and startups.

We use the data (which can include your communications) to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and Service issues (e.g., bugs).

Profile

Your profile is fully visible to all Members and customers of our Service. It can also be visible to others on or off of our Services (e.g., Visitors to our Services or users of third- party search engines).

Posts, Likes, Comments, Questions, Follows

Our Service allows viewing and sharing information including through posts, likes, comments, questions and follows.

  • When you share an article or a post (e.g., an update, image, video, ad or promotion) publicly it can be viewed by everyone. Members, Visitors and others will be able to find and see your publicly-shared content, including your name (and photo if you have provided one).

  • When you follow a person or company, you are visible to others and that “page owner” as a follower.

  • We let a Member know when you view their profile.

  • We let senders know when you act on their posts or contents.

  • When you like or comment or ask questions on another’s content (including ads and promotions), others will be able to view these “social actions” and associate it with you (e.g., your name, profile and photo if you provided it).

Hive Service

Our service allows viewing and sharing your startup public information including Insights and public documents. And you can only share data about your startup idea with members you follow. For example pitch decks and lean canvases. The progress of your company remains private to you unless you make changes to it in settings.

Account Activity, Questions and Roles

We track your activities on our Service and create insightful data with them. These data includes your growth rate, support rate, questions answered and total weekly page views. In line with our mission, our service also allows members view your questions and learn about your roles (This information is public to any of our members).

Related Services

We will share your personal data with our affiliates to provide and develop our Services. We may combine information internally across the different Services covered by this Privacy Policy to help our Services be more relevant and useful to you and others.

Service Providers

We use others to help us provide our Services (e.g., maintenance, analysis, audit, payments, fraud detection, marketing and development).
